Soul Heroes: Dizzy Gillespie

We start our new series of "Soul Heroes" with one of the greatest artists ever. We are talking about the Jazz genious Dizzy Gillespie (1917-1993). He was born in South Carolina (USA) and became one of the most influential Jazz musicians ever. Singer, song writer and trumpet player, he was responsible for developing what is nowadays known as "modern Jazz" and one of the fathers of the "Beebop" style...

According to the UR, techno is "hi tech jazz", and what Dizzy would have played if he had came to the world some decades later... It's time to get to the roots and discover the music that inspired the generations that inspired us.
