Who's the DJ?

Early this morning, we received via FB a link to what supposedly is a Derrick May's set back in 1988 (thanks to Ardell for that). And we say "supposedly" because when we digged a bit deeper into the set's info we found a link to Derrick May's twitter where he stated: 

"my music but not me mixing it was mid afternoon my bros where having a joke trying to play Iike me. I remember this moment clearly."

We think that Derrick's djing technique is the most representative of Detroit Hi Tech Soul Sound, and whoever was trying to mimic that and playing with May's records did an awesome job. 

This set tells us a music story, by capturating the essence & soul of an era, but also because of that. It's already contemporary music history written with sounds.
